Loving Dates
Last night we had our Valentines Dates with the kids, which we've done for a couple years. It is so fun to see them absolutely thrilled with the evening ahead and get so excited to be dressed up and feeling special. Jason took the girls to our church's Valentines Dadddy/Daughter dance while Doster and I went out to eat and to spend some of his saved money in the Star Wars aisle at Target.
Doster rang the doorbell and brought me flowers, which I looooved. He really is such a romantic at heart and kept me entertained with his date 'lingo' throughout the evening.
"Dear Jesus, thank you for our food and for such a special loving night with Mommy. Amen."
"Doster don't lean too hard on my face." "I can't help it Mommy, you are just so soft."
"Mommy, this song was written just for us. Just listen to the words."
"Mommy, Valentines Day is all about you being my Valentine."
"Doster, thank you for my date!" "And you are VERY welcome!"
:-) Yes, Mommy was doted on and loved on so sweetly.
