The Wasp Whisperer
Caroline came home all in a flutter yesterday so excited to tell me what happened
that morning at school.
When she left the garage she said she felt like something dropped on her head but didn't feel anything. She walked all the way to her classroom and was sitting at her desk working when she felt something crawling down her face. She brushed at it and a WASP was on her hand!
She quickly brushed it off and it was crawling across on her desk. Her teacher is allergic to wasps and couldn't kill it and so all the kids went into the hall and they had to wait for a male teacher from the front office to come down to kill the wasp. She said a couple different teachers were asking her if her parents have someone come to our house to get rid of bugs. Oh my...
She said she was called "the wasp lady" all day. :)
As Jason walked her to her classroom this morning (at my request so as to help give the impression that we are a clean, well-taken-care-of-family) there were two girls behind them saying "Did you know she had a wasp in her hair yesterday? It was so cool!".
Apparently she has made a name for herself.
Jason said when he dropped her off yesterday he wondered why she had a brown clip in the middle of her head and no hair pulled back but she has been creative with her hair lately so he didn't think anything of it. :)
Is that first picture really Caroline? I had to check it out for awhile cuz it looks like a teenager? How old is she now? She looks so old here!
