Sweet Sleeper

This past week has been spent snuggling and holding Mary Anna through her flu and bronchitis bout.  The hardest part of all of it was the steroid she was on for her cough.  It created extreme emotional ups and downs, lots of crying, wimpering and screaming.  She didn't want to eat anything and barely wanted to drink.  It was hard to see her in a place of confusion and frusteration over these emotions she had no control over.  I felt so bad for her and counted the days until the medicine was done.

During all of this I've been exhausted but I've also enjoyed all the time with Mary Anna.  She loved to lay on me, snuggle with me and be near me while sick and I took in all I could.

Last night I enjoyed some alone time with her while the rest of the family went to church.  Her little sparkle, soft voice and humor emerged and it was SO refreshing to enjoy my girl again.  Her sparkle is contagious and everyone is enjoying having our Mary Anna back!
