Reasoning?
Caroline: Mommy, Doster told me he is going to poke me with his fork if I don't give him the rest of my cake.
Mommy: Doosssttteerrr (said with a warning tone).
Doster: But Mommy, my cake is all gone and she has some left on her plate!
This child keeps us on our toes. He comes up with the funniest things and the most outlandish ways of reasoning....which all make perfect sense to him and he'll fight to the end to get his point across.
Tonight as I prayed with him before bed I was also reminded of this sweet boy's spirit. He can be the most off the wall child and yet we are daily reminded of his compassionate, loving and encouraging heart. He never fails to tell me, Caroline or Mary Anna how pretty we are when we get dressed. He never fails to call me his sweet sugar mommy and then coo at Mary Anna about how she is his sweetie pie sugar girl.
He will be one goooood catch someday. There is some sweet little girl growing up right now that has no clue what is ahead of her - one sweet, compasionate, caring, expressive, thoughtful, dimpled, freckled face brown eyed cutie just growing up to meet her - - and who will keep her on her toes for sure!
To listen him pray to Jesus is like listening to him talk on the phone to a friend. He prays for each person in our family in such thoughtful ways, thinking of things we didn't know he even noticed. I sat and watched him praying tonight, all the while thanking my Father for such a precious child....who keeps me on my toes!
