Jason and I were just talking about something serious and I just
started laughing because I was remembering something my son did
earlier today...and, of course, had to share the smile with you guys.
Jason helped Doster clean out his disaster-of-a-room this afternoon.
Seriously, this child collects so much junk and has it all set up in
little collections all over his room. It is absolutely adorable when
I'm not frustrated with how messy his room is. When we tell him to
clean his room it ALL goes under his bed. There was SO SO much junk
underneath it and we couldn't even open his closet door. So, today
was clean out day.
I went up to check on them at one point and while I was wiping Mary
Anna's nose I hear Doster say "Just a minute Mommy, I need to take
this call."
Then I hear Jason say "if you are going to be on the phone then you
need to take it in the cubbie hole."
Huh?
This was all happening around me as I was fighting Mary Anna to wipe
her nose. Then Caroline started talking and playing with Mary Anna
and time passed and I realized Doster was in the cubbie hole, "taking
his call".
Apparently, all afternoon his GI Joe walkie talkie kept "ringing" and
he kept telling Jason he "needed to take this call".
One time he came back in the room and Jason said "who was it?" and
Doster replied "it was Uncle Charlie. He said the baby is coming
out. He called to tell me the baby is coming out today."
Jason allowed him to leave the walkie talkie on his bedside table when
he went to bed tonight because he insisted that he needed it close in
case he "got a call". :-)
