Happy Father's Day to MY Daddy!

This weekend my entire family is taking time to come see my father.  At different times he will see each of his children and all his grandchildren in the span of two days.  What bliss for him!

When thinking about Daddy and the difficulty he goes through in his job each day, I am still so thankful he went back to school, at age 50, and achieved his dream - to finish college and become a teacher.  Even though he is in a very difficult area and struggles each day with the children and families he touches, he is still touching each of these lives the Lord is putting before him.  Touching them with creative teaching, patience, integrity, and in being a positive male role model in the life of these struggling children.  In this, I am amazed in my father.

I love seeing him with his grandchildren...truly such a JOY in his life.  He doesn't pass up any opportunity to love on, snuggle with and enjoy each of his 5 (almost 6) grandchildren.  What memories he is creating and such a wonderful impact he is making on each of their lives.
