Chubby Cheeks
This week has been a doozey, that's for sure. We've been stretched in many ways with the Education cuts and a difficult incident on the bus for Caroline. Between the two....and all those other life issues we all deal with....we are both pretty drained. I'm feeling quite a bit of anger right now, so I'm in a processing mode. Trying to work through these feelings but allow myself to feel them at the same time.
Two of the most important men in my life are dealing with disrespectful and devaluing behavior in the school system right now. They are not shown their true value in any way, shape or form and now they are going to have their bottom-line affected too. We both know that this is coming all the way from the tip-top and our board members have the unfortunate job of deciding who is affected.
Obviously, we are thankful that Jason and Daddy are able to sign contracts this week, but our hearts are very heavy for families who will be without jobs next year. Besides all the monetary junk, its really hard to know what kind of education is ahead for our children. Its just all so maddening.
Yes, I do know the Lord is in control and, believe me - that hope, that faith, and that strength is what is encouraging us daily. But we're still feeling the hurt of it all right now.
I leave you with some adorable chubby cheeks, for which I am so thankful.
