It's time to share...
I have been quite out-of-pocket for awhile on my blog for so many great reasons!!
First, I started making a few shirts for Caroline with sweet little appliques on the front and before I knew it I have received over 20 orders for shirts in the last couple weeks!! It has been so fun being creative and making a little extra money at the same time!
Caroline loves being my little model at school and delivery girl with a new shirt is finished.
The second reason - and most exciting - is a new business I have started. Simply Edits services photographers in editing, album design and studio management. I have two clients thus far and I am LOVING it! My sister and brother-in-law have been a HUGE catalyst for me as they have trained me, helped me know what equipment and programs are necessary AND they are my first client! :) I am their 'studio manager' and handle their leads as they come in. I am so excited to be doing what I am doing as I have a love for photography and now I just get to play around in it daily.
I am also learning so much about the photography industry and am excited to see Chris & Katie's business growing! Last week they had a full page image in the Martha Stewart Weddings magazine!
Pretty impressive, huh? I love saying I'm contributing to their sanity and helping out with some of the up front stuff so they can concentrate on the big details that take up their time.
Soooo, when I take a break from learning, sewing, editing, typing, emailing - oh, and mothering...I might find some time to do some blogging here and there.
AWESOME!! What great, fun, money making opportunities. Katie & Chris are really doing well - an ad in martha stewart is AWESOME! have fun!!!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on your new business Elizabeth! I too love photography. I took it in high school and had so much fun. It's always a treat when I have time to take my camera and go for a walk. I love showcasing God's creations in unique ways. You too have an obvious photographic gift and an eye for what's beautiful.
ReplyDeleteThis is so awesome--- I'm dying to hear more of how this is going to work. I'm imagining a family business or something and wondering when Kyle and Betty will start sweeping the floors and running the deliveries!
ReplyDeleteYay! We are so happy for you in your new adventures. Thank you too for your continued support and love of our talent and business!
