Waving the White Flag
Today we "waved the white flag" and stayed home from church. We have been going non-stop and just needed a day to STOP everything and be together. It has been wonderful and it is only 11 o'clock.
We started with Daddy's pancake breakfast, a little Cosby Show, a little Brady Bunch, pumpkin painting, a long shower (without interruption) for Mommy, naps this afternoon...
Jason and Doster went to feed Grandpa's dog, while they are out of town, and stopped at a neighbor's on the way home to play with the 5 puppies in his driveway chowing down on their breakfast.
Right now Doster and Jason are building a train on his train table, Mary Anna is next to them in her bouncy seat staring at Daddy as if he hung the moon, Caroline is reading on Doster's bed and I'm downstairs in the living room ironing and listening, with joy, to the sounds of my family.
You KNOW how elated Doster is to have everyone in his room and he hasn't stopped chattering the entire time.
Love these kind of days and we need to purposely take them more often to improve our sanity!
