Fall Festival at Burnt Hickory Elementary

We had a special evening Friday because it started with a visit from Uncle Charlie! We had a nice time trying to talk above the kids as they clamored for Uncle Charlie's attention at every turn. Mary Anna loved him and went straight to those glasses on his shirt...as did my other two at this age. What a cherished visit as they don't come as often as they used to when Charlie just lived a few miles from us. Now a few hundred miles separate us from those fun drop-in visits in the afternoon.

Next we went to Caroline's fall festival and had fun having her face painted and playing on some of the games. Jason joined us after mowing several lawns and then afterwards we headed up the hill to the high school Homecoming game. What a fun night!
