The ROCKET

Scene: My Mother going down the water slide for the first time to the delight of her grandchildren.

Jason: (yelling up to Mother) Lay back!

Mother: (yelling down to Jason) WHAT?

Jason: (yelling up to Mother) LAY BACK!

Mother: (yelling down to Jason) OKAY (as she lays back and starts down the slide)

Scene: Mother FLYING DOWN THE SLIDE, SLIDING UP THE SIDE ALMOST TO THE TOP EDGE (which means she was close to FLYING out of the slide), SPINNING OUT OF CONTROL AND HITTING THE WATER UPSIDE DOWN.

Mother: (coming up out of the water looking like she had just flown down a rocket slide at warp speed - sputtering and eventually laughing but looking scared to death!)

Jason: (LAUGHTER)




Scene: Mother talking to a man at the pool who slid down the slide slowly and safely with his 14 month old baby girl.

Mother: How did you go so slow down the slide?

Man: I spread my legs a little to give resistance and I sat up straight.

Mother: Well, my son-in-law told me to lay down and I FLEW down the slide upside down.

Man: I think you were set up!

Jason: (LAUGHTER)


By the way, my husband LOVES my Mother dearly and truly didn't mean to do anything to hurt her....but he is still laughing next to me as I type this and he pictures her FLYING down that slide. :-)
