Mother's Day

Today I'm enjoying a very slow and relaxing Mother's Day. I have been a little under the weather the last few days so we decided to stay home from church and enjoy a slow day. Per our tradition, the kids and Jason made breakfast and brought it to me in bed. It is so precious to see the door open and hear their excited giggles as they bring me their "creation" that they have excitedly helped prepare. This morning was no different except that poor Doster's tray of food slipped off his tray and fell flat on the floor when he walked in the room. He was crushed but I hurriedly assured him that it was alright Daddy could get some more french toast with syrup (yes, the sticky mess was on the carpet).
After our yummy breakfast the kids sang me a song they made up with Doster accompanying their voices on his guitar. So cute!
I took some pictures of all three kids together...which is what this day is all about to me. Watching those three little gifts the Lord has given to me, allowing me to be their Mother and enjoy the honor of them in my life is truly such a wonderful blessing.

We spoke with both of our Mother's this morning also. What a blessing both of these women are in our lives. They fill so many roles as Mothers, Friends, Confidants, Helpers, Grandmothers, Advice-Givers and Love-Bearers in our family. We are so blessed to have wonderful relationships with both of our Mothers and have them so involved in our family life.

Here are some pictures of our morning...

This is what it is all about!

  1. So cute! I love it. Although syrup is not fun to get out of carpet it will be such a fun memory. :) Glad you had a wonderful morning feeling pampered!
