Haven't we seen this before?
If you are wondering why I am posting the same pictures I posted when we had to move out of the house for all the sheet rock repair you are wrong! These are actually pictures from last Friday when the carpet guys, the floor guys and the tile guys were here demolishing our house AGAIN! Remember last August when we had to move into my parent's house for a week while they redid all the sheet rock seams in the living room walls and ceiling, dining room walls and ceiling, kitchen and keeping room walls and ceiling. Was it a mess? Yep!
Would we do this whole building thing all over again? Yes - but would we know what we are getting into a lot more than this time around? - YES!
Following up on warranty work, getting subs to the house, tracking down a missing builder, and making sure every job is done well has made our minds spin over the last 15 months. It has been one issue after another and while we don't feel as if our house is a lemon we do feel as if there was some work rushed through while building it, making us quite miserable at times since moving in.
We all stayed in the keeping room all day long and went absolutely stir crazy as it was raining outside. Jason paced the floor talking to subs that disappeared from our driveway nowhere to be seen for 4 hours while the carpet was pulled back, stairs void of covering and the shower floor tile demolished. It was quite a day filled with one headache after another and frustrated tears from me. Later that afternoon Jason took the kids to Chick-fil-a for ice cream cones and playtime on the playground...ending the day much better than it started!
