American Girl Trip

Last weekend Caroline, Mary Anna and I took a very special trip to the American Girl store in Alpharetta. Caroline has been saving her money for many months to buy her own American Girl doll. We told her that we would meet her half way and pay for half of her doll. She worked hard doing odd jobs like helping Grandpa pick up sticks in his yard, cleaning out the tupperware drawer, dusting, and other odd jobs to earn her money.

Finally she had enough and we made our special trip. She has been going back and forth between Felicity, Kaia and a Just Like Me doll. After walking around, thinking over her options, she decided on a blond haired blue eyed Just Like Me doll. She named her Laura (after the House on the Prairie books) and has had so much fun fixing her hair and dressing her this week.

We were proud of her sticking to her goal and so excited for her to have one of these very special dolls.
