Ten Days

I can't believe I am sitting at the end of this day with only 10 more days to go until we meet our precious little girl! I am so excited!

This coming weeks holds much as Caroline is going to be having her tonsils out on Thursday as she has been unable to truly shake this Strep bug since November. They want us to get the tonsils and infection out before we bring home a newborn so we are going to have a full week!

I am a bit overwhelmed with how it will all work as Caroline is very emotional at the hint of having to have her tonsils removed. At this point, she doesn't know what her week holds as we are waiting until Tuesday to explain it all to her.

When Doster had his done last month it was much easier to go through the motions without him really knowing what was going on but I am just not looking forward to the emotional toll it will be explaining it all to a very knowing and understanding 6-year-old.

The Lord knew the plan of this week and also knew that we could get through it so I am confident in that and, as Jason reminded me tonight, we'll just take it one day at a time.

This past weekend was a full and fun one!
We wanted to spend some time with the kids Saturday so we had our last outing as a family of four.

Of course, we had to start the morning with breakfast at Dunkin Donuts, a trip to Walmart to buy supplies for Caroline's new class she starts on Monday, a fun pottery painting time where Doster painted a car and Caroline painted a little mouse, followed by lunch at Pizza Hut. We had a fun time together and it is so exciting to dream about 2 weeks from now when we spend our weekends together with our new little baby girl!

Later that evening we went to Jason's year-end Basketball party at the Morris' house and had a fun time eating good food and chatting with friends and making new ones. What a great full filling day as a family!
