Coming home and more...
Friday afternoon we stopped by Caroline's school on our way home from the hospital. She bounded out of the school door and to the van, so excited to see her sister in her car seat headed home for the first time.
My mother dropped Caroline off at school that morning, after she had missed 2 weeks with her tonsils. Mother said she was overwhelmed with emotion as she watched Caroline walk in the door, a few minutes late, and all the kids leapt up from their seats to crowd around her and welcome her back. Caroline's little buddy, Davis, who has downs syndrome, couldn't stop hugging her. She showed them her two pictures of Mary Anna and had a fun day being back in her routine. We loved hearing this sweet story.
We arrived home to Mother and a napping Doster. It felt so good to be home with Mary Anna!
The adjustment has gone well. Mary Anna is such a good little baby and is easing into a nightly routine already.
Caroline and Doster LOVE to touch Mary Anna and are adjusting well. We have the typical rowdy mischiveous behavior from our three year old Doster and the typical sweetness from Caroline amidst her tiredness.
Last night my brother Charlie and his wife, Maggie, drove down from North Carolina for a day of wedding fun with their soon-to-be sister-in-law and then over to our house to meet Mary Anna. Both enjoyed holding her and loving on her before heading back to NC. I'll post a few of those pictures later.

Mary Anna is just GORGEOUS! We are so, so happy for all of you! Hope you're getting some well-deserved rest and settling in with little trouble. I'd love to come see you once y'all get adjusted and she's on a schedule...maybe in 2-3 weeks???
