Creative Daddy

This week Jason and Caroline are out of school on Winter Break so it has been nice to have a playmate for Doster and to have Jason around the house. He has enjoyed getting quite a bit of work done in the basement organizing his shop side. There have been so many other projects he has worked on that this fun organization has been last on his list. This week marks one year we've been in our home and Jason is finally getting to make himself at home in his shop.

In that year he has finished off the bonus room making a fun barn room for Doster,

he's worked on various other areas of the basement making them workable for all of us including two lofts for storage and a workroom/storage room for me.

(see the loft up above? our basement has 12 foot ceilings so we get to make the most of storage areas and build lofts for all our goodies)

Now to his fun!!

Loft he made on the shop side with all his landscaping equipment organized underneath.

Kids sitting in the storage shelf he built today.

Finished shelf.

He did take a break today to make Caroline & Doster a fun basketball goal and they adored it! My recycling and imaginative hubby used left over dishwasher hose wrapped in duck tape with a rope he finagled around to look like a net screwed to a piece of plywood on the wall studs in the basement. Then he drew them a court on the cement floor with chalk. Who could ask for more in a Daddy who will stop his project to take the time to do this for them?

When he isn't making all this great storage and organizational stuff from SCRAP lumber he is also doing double duty since I am nearing the end of this pregnancy and dealing with an upper respiratory infection along with all the aches and pains that come with the 9th month.

What a guy, huh? :)
