my morning
This morning started out a little rough as I was awake again so much of last night but it got a little better as things started moving along. Caroline & Jason left for church and Doster and I were staying home because he can't be in church yet with all the kids after his tonsilectomy. So I got him busy fingerpainting and I cleaned up our room and closet. Afterwards I decided I had to get some of my small projects out of the way that have been waiting on me for MONTHS. While I worked away in the nursery he enjoyed a bath for over an hour. He loves to play in the tub...

Soooo, this is what I accomplished...

Oh how I wish I could say I finished this undone project. Several months ago my mother-in-law helped me make the first valance for the living room and the second one is up to me. HA! Now, I do understand that you are probably thinking - how hard could a valance be? Really, not that hard at all. But when you add expensive fabric, my procrastination due to intimidation together, you have your answer. I have many capable people around me that would fly through this valance, and I probably will when I make myself do it, but I am very intimidated to try. So, I have had a lopsided living room since September. My promise to myself is that I will complete this valance after I finish the valance for the nursery. :)
Here is my start...

Soooo, this is what I accomplished...

Two holes patched on Caroline's beloved hippo...

New elastic in the nightgown my mother made me when I was Caroline's age that Caroline now loves to wear...

This is what Doster discovered for his nap - Mickey Mouse pillow cases I have had fabric for for many weeks...

Now I leave you with another bit of inspiration I found for the nursery. Next to the fabric - it looks so precious and perfectly brings down some of the same colors into the room.
