Thursday night was the Sports Banquet to end Jason's last Volleyball season. He has officially resigned from his position and will not be the head Varsity coach next year. We have seen that it is just too time consuming at this point in our lives. Jason feels very confident in his decision but he is going to miss it dearly and will really miss his relationship with the girls. He had such a unique and special report with them, along with being such a great, patient, and gentle leader for these teenage girls. Not only was Jason great relationally and as a coach but he also accomplished so much as he started this volleyball program and in two short years they were the only school in the county with only two grades (new high school) and the only school with three teams! He was built a very large and successful program that he can be so proud of passing along to the next coach.
It was a special night last night for me to sit and watch Jason, hear him be rewarded and honored for his leadership and also to know he is giving up this important position he has enjoyed for his family. What a great man! I respect his decision and him so much!

"Thank you for changing my life. You taught me determination. You gave me the skills to persist in life's game. The wisdom, confidence and heart you have shown while leading our team has been an inspiration on and off the court. Your influence on my life is immeasurable. The skills and lessons you have taught will be amplified over my lifetime and for that I always will give thanks for you and look back and boast that I had the privilege of calling you coach."
