10 years ago today...
Ten years ago today Jason and I were in West Point, Georgia. I was a student at West Georgia and he, the Director of Education at West Point FUMC. We attended a staff Christmas party and ducked out early to head back to the little parsonage across the street from the church. Jason built a fire in the fireplace and spread out the picnic he had planned on the floor in front of the fire. This was the evening that Jason asked me to be his wife and spend the rest of my life by his side. What a special evening it was and such an honor to become the future Mrs. Flowers! We easily forgot the food, started calling all of our family and took some fun self-posed pictures. That night I spent the night at the Etherton's, youth leaders with Jason, and the next morning showed everyone at church my beautiful ring.
Ten years and 2 children later (almost 3) I never thought I could be more in love than I was that evening...but I am and in a much richer, deep and meaningful way than I could ever have imagined.
This morning Jason went early to bible study so I got up, went out to the kitchen and started turning lights on to find a bouquet of daisys (my favorite) and roses along with the most perfect card waiting for me on my desk.
Thank you for remembering such a special day Jason - I love you!
