Thanksgiving Placemats

Jason and I were just discussing this evening how much we love the month of November as we prepare for Thanksgiving because it allows us to help show the kids that we have so many things to be thankful for before we enter into the Christmas season when they receive a variety of wonderful gifts. We love the preparation and coziness of November as it prepares our hearts for thanksgiving and awe over the birth of our Savior.

On someones blog from our church I saw some neat placemats she made with her daughters. I thought it was such a great idea that I made some with the kids last evening. Jason is going to laminate them at school tomorrow so that they can eat off of them and save them for next year. They had fun thinking of all the things they were thankful for and enjoyed making their turkeys.

We are thankful for so much, even in this trying time with me working less hours and the strain that brings financially, we see a multitude of reasons surrounding us to thank our Father everyday for the blessings we possess.
