Little House on the Prairie

When I was a little girl I loved reading the Little House on the Prairie books. My parents and grandparents gradually gave me the entire series, in hardback, and I have always treasured these books. I read and re-read them as a child. I remember the day my mother took me into our living room in the farmhouse in Iowa and gave me the first one to see if I could comprehend as I read the "big person" book. I remember not being able to at that point and having to wait, which was so hard for me. I was, and am, such a bookworm and treasured the world I entered into with Laura and the Ingalls family.

A few weekends ago I brought the first book to Caroline to see if she could comprehend it as we knew she could read it. She did and has loved the book so much she finished it within a week and is onto the second book. I love it!
