Caroline and her Bible
Caroline loves her AWANAS program and the verse memorization. She is so good at it and doesn't need my help at all. She reads her lesson and the verse, saying the verse over and over and memorizing it all by herself. She has needed a Bible of her own, one more grown up than her little pink New Testament she received as a baby. So, this week I went to the bookstore and picked one out for her to use. It is pink and chocolate brown leather and such a sweet Bible for a little girl but one that will easily grow old with her too.
She was thrilled when we presented it to her before school one morning. That afternoon as she got off the bus she said excitedly, "Mommy, I couldn't wait to get off the bus so I could come home and read my Bible!". That has been her attitude all week as she loves to find verses using the Table of Contents. I find her on the back deck, on the living room floor or snuggled into my reading chair finding verses and reading them.
