My sweet Doster is quite the high-achiever as of late!! He is now fully potty-trained and he had a happy swimming lesson today!!
He has SCREAMED the entire time through two lessons and today he cried when dropped off but quickly overcame his sadness and joined in on the fun. Granted his incentive was a surprise when he gets home (a Thomas the Train engine) but HE DID IT - he worked hard at something and DID IT!
I am just so proud of him lately as he is a child who hasn't had to or doesn't want to work at things very hard. He is so preoccupied with playing and doing his own thing that he doesn't care to work ahead on the areas we have been challenging him in. But this past month has proven that WRONG and he is quite the little achiever. He is so proud of himself and continually asks Mommy "Mommy - I proud of you?" which means he wants to know if I am proud of what he has conquered...and YES, Mommy is SO proud of you sweetheart - You are working hard at something and feeling joy in the reward of your hard work!

"You are my child, my precious one. Special in EVERY way.
I'm filled with the wonder of wonderful you and I love you MORE EACH DAY!"
