A Wonderful Afternoon

This afternoon was so fun! When Jason got home everyone went outside while I got a chance to walk on the treadmill. The kids played while Jason worked in the yard. Once I was finished I joined everyone and we went for a walk in the woods behind the house. After playing in the creek and watching Denver bound through the water we headed back up to the backyard. Jason worked on digging a trench to bury the drainage pipe and I got the sprinkler out for the kids.
After changing out of wet clothes we had our favorite supper - tacos - on the back deck. The bugs didn't bother us and we had such a relaxing dinner, which is pretty rare as they always seem so chaotic. The "Funny Show" came next as we all sat on the couch cringing and laughing. We love hearing the kids yell "watch out", "don't do that", "that's gotta hurt", "that could have felt better" and Doster's new one " Toooooom Burgeron (the host)". Bedtime went smoothly and we were able to sit down at 7:45 in the peace and quiet. Ahhhhhhhhh
It is so rare to enjoy an evening like this. Usually we find ourselves going crazy over something and to have a completely peaceful evening was such a treat and a great present from above!
