Bedrooms

When I was pregnant with Caroline we decided to put my old dresser that I had as a child in her bedroom. We then decided that we wanted to find a special antique dresser for each child before they were born. A piece of furniture that would be the center of their room, something that brings thoughts of memories and security to each child. Some day, they will take these pieces of furniture to their own home, passing on the heirloom to their families.
We wanted to manifest this same idea in their bedrooms by giving each child an antique bed that would go with them throughout their years at home. When we purchased our current home we bought two antique twin beds
from the previous owner.
Caroline and Doster both transferred to these beds from the crib. We decided to put both beds in Caroline's room at our new house and then
began the search for an antique bed for Doster.
We found an oak full bed which we hope will fit his big body as he grows.

This morning as the kids were waking up I decided to take a few pictures of their rooms and document a little bit of their lives, the things they enjoy and the spaces they call their rooms.

Caroline's Room

Each morning when Caroline wakes up she goes straight to her desk to color and create.

The giraffe stickers on her mirror were placed there by me when I was a small girl.
