Elizabeth's 30th Surprise Party!

This past weekend my sweet husband, family and friends threw me a surprise party for my 30th birthday. It was so fun and overwhelmed me to see so much work go into something just for me. It was at the House of Dreams on Berry campus which has a breathtaking view from all directions. I want to go again soon so I can truly enjoy the scenery because I was a little distracted on Saturday.
Thank you, everyone, for all the effort and love you put into my special day!

When I first came into the house it was hard to take in all the faces and realize the distance many drove to be a part of my day.

The party theme was "Mexican Fiesta", of course, since tacos has been my birthday meal since I was a small child. This is Libby Vickrey, dear friends of our family, Caroline and Brayden, our niece.

Amy Vickrey, me, Katie, and Angela Richardson

For the last few years I hosted a Mommies Group at my house and these sweet friends were two of the three mommies who brought their children to play while we had coffee and lunch. Kristi Hudlow, who is moving to Colorado, myself, and Angela Richardson.

Uncle Tom, Daddy, and Charlie

Ahhh, Katie is in a picture instead of behind the camera! But I don't see any pictures of Chris at the party....he must have been "on duty" for the day. Thanks Chris!

Was there anyone who DIDN'T know that I wanted an ipod for my birthday? :)

Two of the best three products of my 30 years.

Blowing out candles on my gluten-free cake!!!

My gluten free advocate and mother-in-law, Yvonne, serving up her desserts.

Mother getting away from all the hustle and bustle as the party host to spend some quiet time with Doster.

All three of my siblings have, or are getting, married in the last year and a half. At each wedding there is such a neat slide show of them as children and then together with special music chosen just for them. I didn't have one at our wedding and have been jealous of such a special memory. My last surprise of the day was a Wedding Slideshow for Jason and I, contributed by family and created by Chris and Katie. It was so special and I will treasure it for many many years.

The day is over and we were all tired but so encouraged by the love shown and the memories made.
