Our First Day in St. Simons

Our favorite place to spend time together and recoup as a family is St. Simons. Jason's parent's have a condo that we have visited for 6 years now and we treasure the memories we've created on this little island.

We've had a hard time getting here some years...all four of us having the flu, pregnancies, and this year we've added several things to the list.
We stopped in Macon at Walmart to get groceries and it took an hour to purchase 18 items. The Macon Walmart is really interesting, to say the least. There was a healing service going on in front of the store that topped the experience as we left.
There was an accident on the interstate that Jason helped with, we had numerous potty breaks, fighting children, one spanking on the side of the interstate, and NO sleeping the whole way down. This year our 6 hour drive took 8 hours. :) But, we are here now and our first 24 hours have been heaven sent. Doster's little voice will go down in the memory books as he kept whispering from the back seat, saying "Mommy, Mommy...VEACH (beach)!"
