Spring Break trip to Indiana

This lengthy blog is especially for Uncle Tom and Aunt Donna so that they can see the pictures from our wonderful weekend in Indiana. We left Saturday morning and arrived in Warsaw 12 hours later ready to spend some time with the Millers. We had so much fun playing with Heidi (their little dog), eating, cooking, decorating cookies, cutting out paperdolls, visiting the Amish, touring Winona Lake, hunting for Easter Eggs and creating fun memories. Some of the pictures will be out of order b/c there are so many. I'll just put captions on them so you can enjoy...

Caroline & Aunt Donna reading a story.
The kids loved Uncle Tom and Doster called him Boppa (Grandpa).
Playing with Aunt Donna (Mimmi) and Heidi.
Eight Amish work horses pulling a plow.
Making blueberry syrup for marshmellow pancakes. :)
Snuggled on the hide-a-bed that was Great Grandpa and Great Grandma's in the Village.
Spending time with Uncle Tom and Heidi.
Playing with paperdolls.
Making Easter cookies.

Caroline & Jason petting an Amish horse and talking with an Amish woman.

Decorating Cookies...what a big day!

We stopped early on our way home b/c it was storming really bad...we ate supper in a restuarant while the clouds were green and tornado warnings were posted on the TV's.

Playing on Grandpa Ralph's old lawnmower.

Swimming at the hotel!!
Doster's swimming diaper which looks more like a speedo.
Double fisting his drinks. :)
Coming in from the rain.
Searching through the hotel and making ourselves at home.
Doster loved the water but, as always, was a squirmy boy trying to do it all on his own exhausting both of us when we held onto him. It made me feel alot better that he had on this life jacket swimsuit with all his moving around.
Caroline was a little fish going all over the pool on her own. We really had to keep our eyes open with both of them wanting independence.

The pool was so warm that the camera kept clouding up with fog.

That is the end...thanks for taking the time to look through our Spring Break pictures. We really enjoyed our time with the Millers and created such precious memories.
I love it that the kids became so attached to Uncle Tom and Aunt Donna,
Doster calling them by grandparents names for the weekend.
We discovered this weekend just how important it really is to make time to spend with family, no matter how far apart we are in the United States. As Uncle Tom prayed before we left, we are so thankful for the opportunity to travel from state to state in this great country and maintain relationships with those we love!
