Christmas Day 2006

Our Christmas Day was another special one with the Bergen's. This year we had Ben and his fiance Anna, our family, Katie and her new husband Chris, and Charlie with his fiance-to-be Maggie. It was a fun and chaotic morning (for the parents) opening presents and taking our time going around the circle in typical Bergen fashion. We all got to enjoy watching one another open presents, trying on new clothes, trying out new toys and just having fun. We stopped part way through for breakfast and continued on until around 1:30. The kids went down to bed and we enjoyed a quiet Christmas dinner.

Doster LOVES cherries from Uncle Ben!

My parent's share a wonderful family tradition with us. There is a candlestick representing each family member in the center of the table during Christmas Dinner. Each candlestick represents a different family member, unique in our own ways. All lit, the candles create one light, which is Christ's light through us all as a family. It is such a neat and special way for us to remember our family and the unity we create together through our Father.
